Unite America

There are plenty of diehard Red and Blue, Left and Right voters out there. But recent elections have polarized our country and have put a large number of Americans in the difficult position of having only two choices—neither of which they feel good about. Both sides are told that instead of voting for the best candidate, they should vote for the lesser of two evils. A recent Gallup poll reveals that 63% of U.S. adults say that our two-party system is broken. And even though 50% of us identify as political independents, 98% end up voting Red or Blue. Our professor asked us to start a conversation about this issue that goes beyond Left and Right.
